3. Independent Editors and Access to Content
FamCam pairs you with an independent video editor (“Editor”) who helps transform your photos and videos into highlight reels. Editors are independent contractors, not employees of FamCam. Some Editors are located outside the United States, meaning your uploaded content may be accessed or processed in other countries for the purpose of providing the Service.

All Editors, regardless of location, are required to sign confidentiality and data-protection agreements and follow strict handling standards consistent with FamCam’s policies. While FamCam takes reasonable measures to safeguard your content, we cannot guarantee or control the actions of Editors beyond our reasonable oversight.

By using FamCam, you acknowledge and accept that your Editor may have access to your submitted materials solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you share contains only material you wish to provide.

4. De-Identified Data and AI Training
FamCam may use de-identified or anonymized data, including photos, videos, project notes, and communications, to:

• Train and improve internal artificial-intelligence tools that assist with editing, curation, and service quality

• Develop better customer experiences and operational efficiency

• Maintain and improve system reliability

“De-identified” means all personal identifiers, family names, and identifiable details are removed prior to use. None of this information is ever sold or used to identify individual customers.

5. Data Storage and Retention
We retain your personal data and uploaded content only as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. Once your subscription ends or you request deletion, we will securely remove or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes.

FamCam is designed for parents and guardians to create family highlight videos, which often include images or recordings of children under 13. FamCam does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All content involving minors must be submitted and managed by the parent or legal guardian who owns the account.

By submitting such content, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any children featured in your materials, or that you have obtained all necessary permissions to share and include them in your FamCam videos. FamCam processes that content solely to provide the Service you request and does not use children’s likenesses for any marketing, advertising, or unrelated purposes.

10. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We may share limited data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, analytics, communication, or overseas editing support). These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection agreements and may not use your information for their own purposes.

FamCam may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
